We are here to help! Weโre going to lay out the steps to exfoliating with our bestselling product, the Floridian Body Scrub. Are you ready to learn how to develop a skin care plan that cultivates proper hydration, and a dry skin maintenance routine!?
Where to Start??

Most people think they should directly apply moisturizers to their skin at the first sight of dryness. However, in some cases, exfoliating the dead skin cells away before implementing hydration can yield multiple benefits. For example, when applying a moisturizer directly to dry, dead skin cells, hydration can only penetrate the top layer of skin–the Epidermis. In contrast, by physically exfoliating the top layer of dead, dry skin cells, this allows for moisturizers to penetrate the deeper skin layers–the Dermis. This method triggers new skin cells to rejuvenate, the natural skin repair process to take place, and thus left with skin that is healthy, hydrated, and supple.

Our Floridian Body Scrub has two main ingredients that help exfoliate away dead skin cells: Sucrose (White cane sugar from Florida) and Juglans Regia (Walnut) Shell Powder. Both ingredients are responsibly sourced and carefully formulated so that results are yielded but still comfortable for sensitive skin users (with proper application).

We also pack our body scrub with vitamin E and glycerin. While vitamin E oil is very thick, it can make an excellent moisturizer for dry, patchy areas of the skin. Products containing vitamin E as an ingredient may be easier to apply for overall use on the skin.

Glycerin is a humectant, a type of moisturizing agent that pulls water into the outer layer of your skin from deeper levels of your skin and the air. In skin care products, glycerin is commonly used with occlusives, another type of moisturizing agent, to trap the moisture that it draws into the skin (in this case, vitamin E is glycerin’s occlusive). The combination of the these two hydrating agents are perfect for simultaneously hydrating the skin while the sugar and walnut shell powder exfoliate away the dead skin cells.
Our Floridian Body Scrub is the perfect combination of exfoliation and hydration to leave your skin feeling soft and smooth! Bye-bye dry skin! Check out our recommended steps below when using our Floridian Sugar Body Scrub!
